Passing of Dr. Kaye Rossi

This morning on the way to the BART station, the way passing along the border of much wild open space, I saw a single wild turkey foraging by the side of the road. I have not seen one since last March, and it struck me as an omen -- my distant friend E had advised me to listen to wild animals that find their way into our human domain, they come in with change -- and as I passed the bird I considered stopping for a photo but kept on. Pondering.

Tonight after work, gathering with some friends and acquaintances, we sadly learned of the passing last Sunday of our friend and, more so, our long-time guide, Dr. Kaye Rossi. Bless her heart, may she be free of suffering and the root of suffering. And a personal prayer for Kaye: Thank you.

On my way to BART this morning, in a field next to the parking lots I saw a red tail hawk hunting on the ground. It gently lept into the air, spreading its wings and red tail, and flew to a nearby tree. I saw it lunge upward out of the top of the tree, a hunting strike at some object in the air.

There was a hawk in our big pine tree the weekend before Kim's passing, it was making its unique call and I followed the sound out to the backyard. Kim, not hearing the bird, came out and stood beneath it clipping a blossoming pear branch for the dining room table, smiling at me as the hawk lept and gracefully flew off. The scene is etched in my memory.

Kaye,
My heart breaks, you helped so many yet you could not be helped. Thank you for all you have given, you made a huge difference in so many lives. You will be missed so much, and never forgotten. Rest in peace. L.E.

I just want to express my deep sadness. Kaye was an amazingly brave woman, and she went through more suffering than any person should have to deal with in one human life. She was incredibly brave. She was a really good person and this is a huge loss for the universe. I'm glad her physical pain is finally over.

It appears my blog is the one Google site about our friend and doctor, and it is my privilege to receive your comments and emails. Please contact Nina Ferraris, program manager at CFR (925) 674-4100, for information on memorial services and other details. If I find out more non-private information I will post it here as a comment on this blog entry. Take good care.

I'm puzzled why there is not anything in the C.C.Times Obits. It would be nice for those who new her to be able to write on www.Legacy.com

Hello Everyone,
Just FYI, the obit for our beloved Kaye Rossi can be found online at the Contra Costa Times Obituraries website. There is a guest book there too for people to leave their thoughts, comments and cherished memories.

I am still missing Kaye very much. I had a chance to bring her to the LORD and I failed to do my part. I didn't save Kaye, I hope she chose Jesus before she left us. Now I know I must tell others about Jesus before it is too late.
Bye Kaye.
