Supports for a new path

I took an AFG program call from a good friend in need.

I had a very pleasant walk today at lunch time on this good sunny day.

Scouted available apartment neighborhoods and buildings.

Also checked on ZipCar in area of these apartments and bumped into a customer who said he was very satisfied as an alternative to owning a car. (We spent $4656.01 on car last year, only $1400.00 was 'maintenance'!)

Also got started on financial/econo coaching through my EAP; I need to next bring that situation into sharp focus to make further choices such as renting now and moving out.

Asked a coworker who was presenting me with a problem, "What would you like to do?" and listened and simply asked more questions until there were no more next steps, instead of expressing my opinion about what she ought to do to fix this problem as I would have done reactively previously and possibly again today.

Had a very supportive conversation with a social worker at hospital.

Got a hug from another coworker. Unexpected; appreciated.

Spoke with my sponsor at length. Spoke with a good AFG friend who cares very much. Wrote my excellent friend E. ... several times. Responses from all that soothed me ragged soul.

Went to restroom, had dinner in John Muir cafeteria, THEN visited recovering wife.

Saw my Kim-o in darkened hospital room, talked to her one-way, held her hand and brushed her hair with my hand. Sat for a while. Talked to very gentle, caring nurse, and we shared more face-to-face than words to words.

Attended Vipassana Meditation Group, an enriching evening.

Returned friendly phone call from my younger sister-in-law, regarding her sister.

Laundry, dishes, cat litter, night vitamins, mail, brush and floss.

Read ODAT and daily HH Dalai Lama pages.

Dreamt of cupcakes.
